As part of a class assignment, we were given the hindi pop track "simply falling," and were asked to slow the track down add heavy reverb to it. The result is this eerie, noisy ambience of screeches, groans, and whispers. I've used this track in a few horror projects.

Direct recording of my jackson sl-3 soloist electric guitar through a line 6 pod x3, using its internal reverb effects. (large hall reverb with decay at 99%, or maybe even 100% for that endless washed out effect).

Broken transmission pads: c2 note, random gabbled modulated sounds using absynth 5. Sampled into ableton with a bit of effects, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. A soundscape conveys our interpretation of the origin of universe. It mixes scientific, vedic hinduism and creative approaches. Starting from the very beginning (big bang and “om” sound), passing through the universe expansion and focusing mostly on earth evolution, including molten rock and floods eras, as well as sounds from living creatures. We used a combinations of sounds from our custom pure data patches, vst synthesizers and a few samples from freesound. You can find the attribution below.

I accidentally came up with this sound when i was remixing one of my favorite songs on audacity. It sounds like a whole bunch of computer software and techy stuff sparking, beeping and crackling. Would be great for a movie introduction if it was overlayed with soundtrack. An artistic experiment searching for sound emissions and the limit of human hearing. Composed of infrasonic material that have a low acoustic impedance. Humans will be able to identify tones as low as 12hz. Natural and human produced infrasonic sounds is anywhere, all the time. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. This is another spoopy long background music type thing i've thrown together with pitch shift and time stretch and echo. This one is a bit long to sit through and feels to me like it often needs more space in it, but i have no idea what i'm doing so i'm stuck with what i've got. For background creepy mood stuff there are definitely some good 30ish second stretches in there that are different enough from each other to suit somebody somewhere though, i'm sure.

I downloaded a "joke" mod for tf2 that replaces engie's sound vos with bob ross, and i just played around with them cause i got bored? idk what i was trying to do. Anyways i ended up with a space ship. If you speed it up to 4x, you can hear him say "right. " if you rewind it while its sped up, he's trying to eat some food. Also i've given up on making sound effects. So much that i didnt even wanna try and tag this.

My first little attempt at making some film-like sound effects. Alot of bass in this one, tried to cut it below 30-50hz. I just want to point out to the people having a listen, that the sample that streams on the website has a small static-like noise in it. . The download version will not have this noise, i believe the compression for streaming degraded the sound a bit.

2 lengths of 3 different pitches of this low cinematic squelch bass. Played once with a large reverb and again played dry with no fx. This sound is modeled after the inception movie's large horn blast. It is a low multi-voiced saw wave with a specific ring modulation setting to give it it's effect. This sound is rendered as a 44100 sample rate 16 bit wav file. Made with native instrument's massive inside ableton live 9.

I'm currently working on some musical ideas for a good friend's cartoon series and thought i'd upload this little experiment with an old vinyl of some mozart. I recorded the output of my deck and messed with the speed and pitch, as well reversing the audio and adding some distortion and other effects once it was in my daw. Created with a doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer sequenced by a korg sq-1 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle and hd reverb. Audio source is a self-resonating, modulated doepfer a-108 vcf8. The reverbs ran in series. The manual states that the particle reverb is based on the line6 m9 particle verb. An actual new production instead of old stuff! made in june of 2020. A dark intro implies the humming engines of the spaceship you're in as you're traveling at speeds unimaginable. Slowly the ship starts to spring to life. As you open your eyes, slow but huge bands of light sweeps across your cryogenic sleeping pod, as if being scanned. The pod starts to move while you're still in it, going through chambers filled with machinery and bleeping computer stations, until it stops in front of a huge closed door. Suddenly, your pod opens up as well as the door. Your eyes are greeted with the majestic sight of a gigantic control room with windows as far as the eyes can see, galaxies fills your field of view, a beautiful synergetic view of the grandeur of space and the hundreds of lights of the control room, welcoming you to a new adventure. 2 simple chords form the basis of a textural composition supplied with sound effects. Plugins used: ni kontakt 5 with atom hub's the planet, doom by sampletraxx, space by rigid audio, ni absynth, and massive vst synths. Extra sound effects: shocking signal and ui designer by sampletraxx, heavily sampled and mangled. Effects: izotope mastering plugins, a bunch of fl studio stock reverb and eq, guitar rig 5, blackhole reverb, replika xt, raum reverb.

I made this one a morning while having a cup of strong java. It's done in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. Made a drumbeat with open hi-hat. After 4 rounds the hi-hat closes and a cowbell comes in. Did a bassline to go with the beat. Then i added instruments on top of that. Starts out pretty mellow in minor, dark. Then builds up with the bass, and after that a loud synthesizer and back to a more mellow part. I think it's a bit spacey/sci-fi. That's why i named it "exit planet terror". I captured this sound effect on video on my canon digital powershot a460 camera, i simply took the sound from the video. Featured in the game 'noclip vr'!! thank you so so much, reality games online!. This is heavily inspired by the urban myth and/or creepypasta called the backrooms, which have a very distinct atmosphere to them. This is my interpretation. However, this isn't exclusively for backrooms-related stuff! so by all means, if you're simply in need of some interior ambience of any sort, that's also why i made this for you. No advanced processing was used to achieve this sound. I recorded an electrical box in my garage for the buzzing. For the 2nd layer, i turned on some fans in my room, and made a long mono recording of the white-noise. I then split the recording in half, and used each half for the left and right channel, giving it a stereo sound. I then spent an hour leveling all of it because i'm a perfectionist. Yay. Hardware & software used:-audacity-zoom h4n pro (buzzing)-rode nt1 (fan-noise).

This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it. I videoed this journey with my canon powershot a460 digital camera, i simply took the sound from the video. It's a good sound, it turned out well thanks to the winter weather, and the rough icy road. In these recordings i am only using the swarmandal (harp) part. It is tuned to c sharp, but i have dropped the fourth note (f sharp) out of the scale. There are four packs with lots of recordings in them, strums, plucks, short improvisations. "short melodic statements" are 1-2 bars. "riffs" are 2-4 bars. "melodies" are about 30 seconds and "runs and flutters" speaks for itself. There is recording of tuning up the swarmandal in the melodies pack. The snippets were taken from recordings done on three different days so you may notice a slight difference in volume and background noise. A couple of the recordings have some ambient noise (bird tweets, wind chimes,)some of the melodies are based around a similar theme but have enough variation to be interesting/useful.
